Transparency: Don’t Take Anything Personally

I’ve recently begun what will eventually turn into a very meaningful project for both myself as well as the advancement of others. Part of this process required an analysis of the group from which I have emerged. So, I decided to do what I have done several times over the years; I conducted a survey.

One of the most important things I have learned from the book, The Four Agreements, is “Don’t take anything personally. Nothing others do is because of you. What others say and do is a projection of their own reality. When you are immune to the opinions and actions of others, you wont be the victim of needless suffering.” It is because of this important lesson I am not offended by the following interaction.

You can view the survey this conversation is in reference to HERE.

Notice that my survey does not say, “do you ever feel taken advantage of by producers” but that is how this person has chosen to hear it.

Notice how a survey, intended to be included in a business plan, is viewed as a direct assault by the misguided individual.
I am writing this because far too often we let the projections of others dictate how we navigate the world and I want you to know, it is not your responsibility to cater to these individuals. When these projections are placed upon you, know that they are just that, projections. And in these moments you are gifted the opportunity to be reminded to never take anything personally and project onto others. You are free, do not cheat your magnificence for anyone, not even yourself.

“Be unafraid to challenge the direction of the world”
“Rise and contribute”
“We are absolved of allegiance to those who oppress and hurt us”
“We shall meet Life with Presence and Power”
